Origin of Deacons:

“Therefore, brethren, select from among you seven men of good reputation, full
of the Spirit and of wisdom, whom we may put in charge of this task.” (Acts 6:3)

Supporting Role:

Deacons
 Assist the Pastor in administering Baptism and Communion
 Assist in the spiritual matters of the church as deemed by the Pastor
 Hospital watch care ministry; visit sick & shut-in members at home and the incarcerated
 Actively participate in church Worship through scripture, songs and prayer
 Support and help promote the church vision as given by the Pastor
 Pray for the members, church Leaders and Pastor
 Participate in and support all ministries of the church.
